  • About

It's not just about a newspaper anymore. Journalists need the skills to tell their stories using multiple mediums. The Online Journalism Workshop teaches just that. In its fourth year at the George Washington University's School of Media and Public Affairs, students in the Online Journalism Workshop practice their written, video, audio, photography and interactive web skills. The online Features are the combination of all of these skills. "Many hours, sweat and tears went into the creation of this project from wireframes to finished products," said one team about their feature assignment. This site is intended to take you behind the scenes into the work that was produced during the spring semester 2011. Each topic, as developed by the students, looks at an area of Washington, D.C. that is often under discussed.
