Journalism today is in a state of dramatic change. Today reporters are required to report stories in digital form as well as in hard copy.

A class at the School of Media and Public Affairs of George Washington University combines these two elements to teach students the future of journalism. The course utilizes video, audio, text, web coding, and interactive online tools to create several projects over the course of the term.

For the third year running, this web site displays the work from this Online Journalism Workshop. The pieces include slideshows with audio and multi-media feature stories. The site also goes behind the scenes to talk about the teams involved with their respective projects.

The subjects range from in depth insight into the lives of drag queens to the obstacles of the black artist collective. All of the features uniquely look at an aspect of Washington DC.
